Labyrinth Travels began with a simple belief: the journey matters just as much as the destination. (And oftentimes more)

We’re Chris and Karissa, partners in life and travel. From the beginning, both apart and together, we’ve been drawn to movement: wandering unfamiliar streets, watching landscapes change through a train window, standing still long enough in a place to feel its rhythm. Travel, for us, isn’t about checking boxes or rushing through highlights. It’s about curiosity, presence, and the quiet sense of wonder that shows up when you let a place meet you where you are.

Over the years, we’ve explored North America by car, foot, rail, and ship. Crossing mountain ranges, deserts, forests, coastlines, and cities. More recently, we’ve begun deepening our European travels, moving slowly and intentionally through places shaped by centuries of history, culture, and human connection. We’ve celebrated holidays abroad, stood in ancient spaces, wandered without agendas, and learned that some of the most meaningful moments happen when plans loosen, intentionally and unintentionally,  and discovery takes over.

Our love for travel runs so deep that we were married at sea, choosing celebration through exploration rather than tradition. Wandering into town afterward to eat lunch where locals do, because that’s always felt more like us.

Labyrinth Travels is where we share these experiences, not as experts with all the answers, but rather as travelers still learning, still wandering, still finding our way. You’ll find stories, reflections, practical insights, and cinematic moments drawn from road trips, cruises, hikes, cities, and quiet in-between spaces. Sometimes the journey is grand and sweeping. Sometimes it’s small and deeply personal. All of it matters.

We travel for the feeling a place leaves with you. For the sense of awe, the calm, the perspective shift. And most of all, because sharing the journey makes it richer.
